The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating an incident in south Bakersfield where a homeowner got home and found a stranger in his house. 

Officials said around 7:10 p.m. Wednesday night officers responded to the 2000 block of Avon Avenue near Fairview Road and S. H St. 

Officers said the homeowner reported he got home and found a stranger inside the home who had showered and was in the homeowners clothes. 

The homeowner tried to get the person out, but they wouldn't leave. The homeowner called the police and they responded. 

Officers found a man inside who was arrested. Officials did not have the name of the suspect at the time of this post. 

BPD said no one was injured.
