Arvin Police officials released the following statement:

On Monday, February 29, 2016, at approximately 0618 hours, members of the Arvin Police Department was dispatched to the 300 block of Laurel Avenue in Arvin for a possible dead body. 

Upon arrival officers located a Hispanic male which appeared to be in his mid-30’s deceased in bed.

The subject has not been identified at this time.

Due to the suspicious nature of the injuries the case is being investigated has a homicide and the investigation is ongoing.
