BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious death Sunday morning after an elderly man was found dead in his home in Walker Basin.
According to KCSO, the coroner was called out to J Street near Caliente Bodfish Road for a report of a dead elderly man just before 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The coroner requested that the homicide unit respond. There is still no word yet on what may have caused the death.
