Mario Anthony McGill was sentenced to 15 years in prison today for his involvement in the murder of Raul Valera.

Valera was found dead in an alley on Oswell Street, just north of Edison Highway, on December 15, 2014.

McGill was originally arrested for voluntary manslaughter on January 13, 2015. He had the added charge of participation in a street gang on April 12, 2016.

He was acquitted of participation in a street gang but found guilty of voluntary manslaughter on September 14, 2016.
