A man was found shot dead in Central Bakersfield Saturday morning.

At about 6:45 a.m., Bakersfield police officers were sent to a home in the 800 block of T Street regarding a check the welfare of a subject down in the backyard. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased subject in the backyard with an apparent gunshot wound. A crime scene was located in the intersection of 8th and T Street. There are no witnesses or suspect information at this time.
