BAKERSIFELD, Calif. — A hard day's work ended unfortunately for a flower vendor in Northwest Bakersfield Sunday night.
A man was selling flowers in the area of Knudsen and Olive drives when he was assaulted by another man and held at knifepoint, shortly before 5:45 p.m., according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
The victim had no choice but to hand over $300 to the suspect, according to deputies, who met the flower vendor in front of a nearby 7-11 store.
According to KCSO, the man was bleeding from his nose but did not have any stab wounds. He was treated by medical crews on scene.
Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect, who is described as a man in his mid-20s with blonde hair, wearing a gray beanie, white sweater, and black mask.
