The Kern County Coroner has identified the victim of a fatal traffic crash on I-5 in Lebec.
According to officials, on April 28 around 5:26 p.m. 47-year-old Rohitesh Raj was driving a Silverado truck that crashed at I-5, south of Grapevine Road in Lebec. Raj reportedly died at the scene.
CHP says Raj made an unsafe turning movement to the righ and then the left resulting in the driver losing control of his truck. The Silverado then allegedly collided with the center median concrete wall, and continued over the wall overturning down a dirt embankment. Raj was allegedly ejected from the truck.
Officials say Ray was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
