The Kern County coroner has identified 73-year-old Dennis Leroy Patterson as the victim of a traffic fatality that happened east of Klipstein Canyon.
According to officials, on May 1 Patterson was driving a motorcycle that left Hudson Ranch Road, three miles east of Klipstein Canyon before crashing.
Officials say Patterson died at the scene.
A postmortem examination was conducted and it was determined Patterson's cause of death was body trauma and the manner was an accident.
The investigating agency is the California Highway Patrol.
