A man arrested for carjacking and kidnapping was sentenced to nine years at a prison in Wasco Tuesday.
Jesus Vences, 37, was charged with carjacking, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, willful cruelty, and resisting an officer.
Back in October 2016, he stole an unoccupied vehicle with children inside and then barricaded himself inside a trailer in the rear yard with the kids.
The kids were not harmed.
