BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A man was injured in an assault in Southwest Bakersfield on Tuesday evening, authorities said.
Bakersfield police responded at 6:55 p.m. to the 5100 block of White Lane for a report of a victim of an assault.
Officers arrived and located a man suffering from a head injury. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was last listed in critical condition, police said.
No suspects have been identified. The incident remains under investigation.
