Driver fighting for his life following south Bakersfield crash
A man is in a hospital fighting for his life this following a early morning crash in south Bakersfield.
The crash happened on Planz Road near South H Street around 1 a.m. Saturday.
Witnesses said the man driving a black Chevrolet Impala lost control and collided with a tree inside Planz Park.
Officials said the impact with the tree caused the car to split into two pieces.
The driver was ejected from vehicle and sustained major injuries.
He is currently listed in critical condition.
