A man was taken to the hospital after jumping out of a vehicle in Downtown Bakersfield Thursday night.
Officers were called to the intersection of California Avenue and N Street for a subject in the road around 7:40 p.m.
They found an adult male suffering from major injuries after jumping out of a vehicle driven by an adult female.
The driver of the vehicle, 38-year-old Yolanda Reynolds, was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for DUI.
The male is in critical condition. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor for him.
