Sixty-year-old Bernardos Gray says he was leaving for work Friday morning when he was carjacked in front of his home.

According to Gray, he was leaving from his home on Quincy Street around 4:15 a.m. when a suspect walked by him and said hello. As Gray got out of his truck to close the gate to his home, the suspect jumped in his truck and took off.

Gray says he reached into the window to try to put the truck in park and ended up being dragged about 100 yards down the street.

Gray suffered cuts and scrapes to his head, hands and knees.

Gray described the suspect as an Hispanic man, about 150-180 pounds, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-9 in his late 20s to early 30s.

The truck is a white Chevy Silverado Z71 with 26-inch rims.

Gray says he was set to make his $586 car payment today. Inside the truck were money orders for the total payment amount. Also in the truck were $1,200 worth of tools, according to Gray.
