LERDO, Calif. — An inmate is in stable condition after three other inmates allegedly attacked and stabbed him at the Lerdo pre-trial jail.
According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, on September 14 around 10 p.m. detention deputies responded to a report of a stabbing in the jail.
Officials said one inmate received "puncture wounds and moderate injuries," during the incident.
Through video surveillance, investigators were reportedly able to identify 20-year-old Julian Valenzuela, 19-year-old Juan Santiago, 26-year-old Irvin Chavez as the three inmates involved in the alleged attack. They will be charged with attempted homicide with gang enhancement.
