Man involved in deadly Labor Day Highway 166 crash charged; arraignment set for Friday

Jerald B. Holman was charged with an eight count felony complaint after his involvement with a vehicle crash on Highway 166 on Monday.

The complaint, filed by San Luis Obispo County District Attorney Dan Dow, charges Mr. Holman with second degree murder in the deaths of two children, two felony counts of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence causing injury, and driving with blood alcohol levels above .08% causing injury.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. on Labor Day.

Allegedly Holman has been sentenced to state prison on three prior instances.

His arraignment is set for 8:30 a.m. Friday. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
