The Kern County Sheriff's Office says a man was killed after he was hit by an Amtrak train on Tuesday.
According to KCSO, first responders were called to the area of Enger Street and Rosedale Highway just before 3 p.m.
KCSO says the man was walking on the tracks when he was hit by the train.
The train was headed to Bakersfield from Oakland.
The man has not yet been identified.
