The California Highway Patrol is investigating after a man was killed in a crash in a vineyard south of County Line Road and west of Zachary Avenue on Tuesday.
CHP says it happened at around 1:38 p.m. The investigation showed that 51-year-old Santos Isidro Coto Acevedo of Delano was driving a quad southbound on an unnamed dirt road at the same time 32-year-old Alejandro Munoz of McFarland was driving a flatbed truck eastbound on a paved road.
According to CHP, Acevedo failed to yield the right-of-way where the roads intersected and collided with Munoz' truck. Paramedics provided medical treatment to Acevedo, but he died at the scene. Munoz was not injured.
