A man was killed in a logging accident in Bear Valley Springs on Wednesday morning. 

The Kern County Fire Department says a tree was already down in the area of Deertrail Drive at Surrey Way when it shifted and crushed the 26-year-old at about 8:30 a.m.

The man worked for Mowbray's Tree Service, which is a third-party company working for Southern California Edison.

K.C. Fire crews and Bear Valley police will work to help with the removal of the body.
