The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for two suspects that fled the scene of a shooting that left a man dead in Southwest Bakersfield.

Police say they received reports of a shooting in the 4100 block of Whitegate Ave. just before 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday. BPD found a man lying in the roadway and was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was later identified as 21-year-old Joshua Isidro Rocha.

According to police, two black male suspects were seen fleeing the area on foot.
