BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A man who was killed during a shooting in South Bakersfield has been identified.
43-year-old Edgar Modesto Lopez of Bakersfield was shot on January 1 around 3:40 p.m. in the 3100 block of South H Street in South Bakersfield, according to BPD. Lopez died at the scene.
Lopez's death is being investigated as a homicide.
