A man has been identified by officials after a deadly crash in Tehachapi earlier in the week, the Kern County Coroner's Office said Thursday.

Joseph Fredriksen, 42, of Tehachapi was driving a vehicle that crashed in the area of Bailey Road and Giraudo Road, near Bear Valley Springs, at around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Fredriksen was taken to Tehachapi Hospital, where he died later that evening.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
