A man led Kern County Sheriff's deputies on a short pursuit in Oildale Wednesday afternoon that resulted in a crash with a Golden Empire Transit bus.
The crash happened on Oildale Drive and Washington Avenue on Dec. 13 just before 4 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol.
KCSO said the suspect, who is only described as a white 31-year-old man, led deputies on a chase in a stolen Chevy pickup truck until he hit a GET bus. After hitting the bus, the suspect ran out of the car and down the alley where deputies arrested him.
Officials said eight people were on the bus along with the driver. One passenger complained of back pain and two others were taken to a local hospital as precautions.
The suspect has not yet been identified. Officials said he was taken to a hospital.
