Bakersfield Police are looking for a man who stole a city truck and led them on a brief pursuit in Central Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon.
BPD officials tell 23ABC that a Hispanic male stole a city truck from the streets department near Truxtun Ave and Chester Ave.
The vehicle was then located by BPD on Chester Ave. when the man led police on a short pursuit.
The man later crashed the truck at a different and fled the scene.
A perimeter was put up in the area but they could not locate the suspect.
Officials said they’re looking for a Hispanic male, 5’2, 120 lbs and was wearing a white shirt.
BPD says when the man is arrested, he will be charged with grand theft auto and resisting arrest.
