Christopher Scott Duncan was sentenced today to 8 years in prison for his involvement in an Oildale murder case back in 2015.
Duncan pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter last month.

On November 23rd, 2015 at about 8:55 am Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Belle Ave. and N. Chester Ave. in Oildale for a report of a victim of an assault.
KCSO officials said When their deputies arrived they located 41 year old Shane Marshall suffering from head trauma. Marshall was semi-alert and talking.
He was transported to Kern Medical Center for treatment. While being treated at KMC Marshall began suffering from complications from the assault, and on December 2nd he died as a result of his injuries.
