Man sentenced in Hart Park sex assault case

A man convicted of driving a woman to Hart Park and sexually assualting her was sentenced today to 54-years-to-life. 

Darryl Moore was found guilty on charges of rape by force, oral copulation by force, assault on a person causing great bodily injury, and battery with serious bodily injury.

On July 24, 2016 Moore picked up an acquaintance and drove her to a secluded area near Hart Park where he assaulted her. 

Moore told her he had a gun and threatened to kill her if she did not comply. He assaulted her and then strangled her until she was unconscious. 

Moore drove her toward the freeway where he jumped from the moving vehicle.
