Man sentenced in 2014 West Bakersfield shooting

A man was sentenced for a 2014 shooting that killed one man in West Bakersfield.

Paul Edward Timberlake was sentenced to 65 years to life at Wasco Prison.

Timberlake was found guilty for 4 charges including second degree murder, possession of firearm by a felon, and gang-related charges.

Local man dead after being shot in West Bakersfield

On November 8th 2014, 25-year-old Lionell McGee Jr. was found dead in the 800 block of Real Road after he was suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Timberlake was taken to a local hospital and later arrested by the Bakersfield Police Department on charges of homicide, conspiracy and gang participation after police found he was a suspect in the alleged homicide.
