BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The man who was shot by a woman after allegedly attempting to break into her home entered a not guilty plea in court on Friday.

Officials say on Wednesday 33-year-old Andrew Oldham reportedly broke into the home on Montello Street armed with a hammer. At the time, the woman was at home with her children.

Oldham pleaded not guilty to charges including false imprisonment with violence and assault with a deadly weapon other than a gun.

The woman shot Oldham in the stomach after he entered the home, and he suffered minor to moderate injuries.

According to court records, Oldham is being held on $100,000 dollars bail and is due back in court on July 9.
