According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, Christopher Paul Estrada, 26, was shot on July 16 in East Bakersfield. He was transported to Kern Medical Hospital but died from his injuries on July 17.
A postmortem examination will be conducted to confirm cause and manner of death.
