BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A shooting in Buttonwillow left one man injured Saturday night.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 400 block of East Front Street and located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the back.

Deputies transported the man to Buttonwillow Park, where he was airlifted to Kern Medical.

The man is in stable condition and is expected to survive, according to KCSO.

Officials are working to identify and locate a suspect.
