BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County Sheriff deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred around the 2000 block of Larcus Avenue.

The call came into officials just after four this afternoon. According to KCSO, the victim was shot in the back and is described as an Hispanic male in his mid-20s. It is unknown the extent of his injuries or how many shots were fired. Witnesses report hearing multiple shots.

Description of the suspect is unknown other than they were driving a silver pickup truck.
