UPDATE (September 13, 2017 5:30 a.m.): Bakersfield police do not have a suspect description at this time but say the driver fled the scene in a dark colored sedan with damage to the front right end. 

Brundage Lane is closed in both directions between S. Owens St. and Tyree Toliver Street. 

Anyone with information is urged to contact BPD at 327-711.

Bakersfield police are on scene of a deadly vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Southeast Bakersfield. 

It happened just before 1:30 a.m. at East Brundage Lane and Tyree Toliver Street. BPD says the person who was struck by the vehicle had died.

BPD also says the vehicle who hit the pedestrian fled the scene. 

We have limited details at this time, but we have a news crew on scene and we will continue to update you as soon as we get more information.
