Man, teens arrested on gang, weapon charges

A man and two teens were arrested late Monday night after a pursuit.

At about 9 p.m., officers with the Bakersfield Police Department attempted to pull over a wrong way driver in the area of Monterey Street and Alta Vista Drive. The driver refused to yield, and a short vehicle pursuit ensued. 

During the pursuit, the occupants of the suspect vehicle discarded a loaded assault weapon, which was recovered by pursuing officers.

Officers were able to stop the fleeing vehicle and all three occupants identified as, Trevon Foreman, 20, Alan Ellison, 18, and a 15 year old male juvenile, all of Bakersfield, were arrested and charged with possession of an assault weapon/firearm, conspiracy, and participation in a street gang. 

Both Foreman and Ellison were subsequently booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Main Jail. The male juvenile was transported and housed at the Kern County Juvenile Hall Facility.
