The man found dead in the driveway of the Tower Motel Sunday has been identified as 41-year-old Shawn Eric Bivins.
Officials responded to the scene a little after 1 p.m. where Bivins was found suffering from major injuries. He was struck by a vehicle and died at the scene.
The suspect hit Bivins, fled the scene, and later returned and turned himself in to police.
Police said an altercation between the two men may have preceded the incident.
