The man accused of a carjacking, robbery and leading the California Highway Patrol on a chase is expected to be charged Monday afternoon.

Arturo Gonzalez faces multiple felonies for his alleged crime spree on Thursday.

According to Bakersfield Police, Gonzalez held up a taxi driver and stole his car before robbing a Jack In The Box on Taft Highway. While robbing the fast food restaurant, Gonzalez allegedly fired a gun.

That triggered a high-speed pursuit that went from Kern County to Los Angeles County, eventually ending with Gonzalez being taken into custody in the Pacific Palisades.
