Maricopa mobile home goes up in flames

Kern county crews were called out to a mobile home fire in Maricopa.

The fire happened at about 11:30 a.m. on the 900 Block of Tulare Street. Crews found a trailer lit up, but also a car and grass that were on fire.

The second-alarm fire was knocked down after several hours and no injuries were reported.

 It's estimated that more than $50,000 worth of damage was done by the blaze.

 It's unknown if the home had a working smoke alarm.
