On May 31, 2017, at 7:30 a.m., Sheriff’s Office narcotics officers served a search warrant at a property located just south of Dustin Acres in western Kern County.
As officers conducted the search they located approximately 80 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, approximately 10 pounds of processed marijuana and illegal pesticides.
A large portion of the property was also being made ready for an additional 200 to 300 marijuana plants.
Ramiro Garcia-Carranza, 35 of Shafter, was arrested for cultivation of marijuana and possession of banned pesticides.
