The U.S. Marine Corps is celebrating their 242nd birthday at the Kern County Veterans Service Office today, Friday November 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. The Kern County Veterans Service Office is located at 1120 Golden State Avenue near M Street in Bakersfield.The event will be held in the parking lot of the of the veterans service office, and anyone in the public is welcome to attend.
Presentation of the colors by a Marine Corps Color Guard, National Anthem, bagpipes, and reading of remarks from the 13th commandment of the Marine Corps will all be taking place during the celebration as well.
