Bakersfield City Mayor Karen Goh and Hall Ambulance Director of Media Services Mark Corum spoke with 23ABC Saturday after the death of former Mayor Harvey Hall. 

"Mayor Hall was there for every person, and so that loss of a very personal mayor is being felt we are grieving his loss today," said Goh. 

Mayor Goh succeeded Hall after he decided to retire from politics in 2016. Harvey Hall served as Mayor of Bakersfield for 16-years. 

Mark Corum has worked for Hall Anbulance for 21-years. 

"Mr. Hall had a profound impact on so many parts of this community not just here in Bakersfield but in surrounding communities, where his company provides paramedic service, so we are deeply saddened but as he would want we got to keep answering the call," said Corum.
