UPDATE: Tuesday, Sept. 27
23ABC spoke with Goh over the phone and she said she trusts the police department will determine if she was targeted in their investigation.
23ABC reached out to Kyle Carter by phone to ask about fears that he could be targeted as well. He said that his campaign has nothing to hide and is not worried about being targeted or burglarized.
The Bakersfield Police Department said it is too early in the investigation to determine the motive of the burglary at Garden Pathways.

Karen Goh’s office at the Garden Pathways building in downtown Bakersfield was broken into Sunday evening, according to the mayoral candidate.
Her computer and other personal items including two external hard drives were stolen from the administration office. The office was rummaged, according to Goh.
A police report has been filed and the crime is under investigation.
Goh is the president and CEO of Garden Pathways.
She is running against Kyle Carter to replace Mayor Harvey Hall. The race will take place in November.
