Kern County Congressman and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy announced Monday he will introduce a resolution to support protesters in Iran.
The Congressman tweeted Monday morning saying, "I'm introducing a resolution in support of the protestors (sic.) in Iran. The world is watching, and the people of Iran need to know that they are not alone in this pivotal moment."
Tensions have been rising in Iran in recent weeks following back and forth airstrikes between the U.S. and the Middle Eastern nation.
