McFarland Police Department and the McFarland Police Activities League announced on Monday that there will be a "National Night Out", tomorrow, August 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

According to McFarland Police, the event will take place in front of the City Hall and Police Department complex at 401 West Kern Avenue.

The event is co-sponsored by local organizations/businesses and the McFarland Police Activities League and nationally sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. This is the third annual National Night Out in McFarland, and marks the 35th anniversary of the event nationwide.

The free event includes back to school drawings, complimentary food and refreshments, crime prevention and special guests.
