McFarland Police Department investigating shooting that left one man injured

On February 19, 2017, around 8:23 p.m., the McFarland Police Department received a call about a victim with a single gunshot wound.

Officers responded to the scene and located a 37-year-old victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the back. He was laying on the sidewalk near Mast Avenue and Ebell Street. The victim said the suspect vehicle was a dark colored sedan.

He was then transported to Kern Medical in Bakersfield.

Officers located a shell casing at the crime scene. The victim is a McFarland resident. At this time, the identity of the victim is not being released. The victim is listed in stable condition.
