BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Anyone in Kern County looking to head to the Lone Star State can now do so with a direct flight from Meadows Field.

On Sunday, Meadows Field began offering flights from Meadows to Dallas.

In October, Kern County Chief Administrative Officer Ryan Also announced that American Airlines would be offering the flights from Bakersfield to Dallas beginning March 3.

One-way, day-of flights range in price between about $375 to a little more than $600.
