As the country honors those who gave their lives for our freedom, some residents in Kern County are gathering to pay respects to those who served and fought for our country.
On Monday, Honor Flight Kern County will lead a car and flag parade, passing by local assisted living facilities.
Anyone interested in participating can gather at Derrell's Mini Storage at 2801 Columbus Street.
The parade will drive by Magnolia Place, Solstice Senior Living, Brookdale Riverwalk and The Palms at San Lauren.
The parade is scheduled to begin at around 8:45 a.m.
