BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — UPDATE: Memorial Hospital, no longer on lockdown following nearby stabbings, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

The Memorial Hospital emergency room is on lockdown following a stabbing that happened across the street, the Bakersfield Police Department reports.
BPD says a stabbing occurred at 3405 Union Avenue at about 9:34 p.m., right across the street from the hospital.
Three patients are being treated for stab wounds at the hospital, according to BPD.
It is unclear if there is a suspect in custody or why the emergency room is on lockdown.
One victim has major injuries following the stabbing, according to BPD.
A female victim has minor to moderate injuries.
The third victim was transferred from Memorial Hospital to Kern Medical with moderate to major injuries.
Units are investigating whether a stabbing call at 9:20 p.m. in the 3900 block of Union Avenue is related to this incident.
