A fire west of Coalinga off Highway 198 and Mineral Springs Road has grown to 5,000 acres.
The Mineral Fire started Tuesday night and is only 10% contained.
Highway 198 is closed at Alcalde Road and at the Fresno/Monterey County Line. Evacuations have been ordered for Coalinga Mineral Springs Road.
The fire is burning in steep terrain, according to Cal Fire.
