The search continues Monday morning for a boy who has been missing since late last week.
According to the Merced County Sheriff's Office, 2-year-old John Weir was last seen Friday with his dad, Steven Weir.
The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert on behalf of the Merced County Sheriff's Office.

John has blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and tan shorts.
Steven Weir is 32, is about 5-foot-10, 300 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and cargo shorts. He's considered armed and dangerous.
They were last seen in a red 2005 Hyundai Elantra with California license plates 5SKT544.
