BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to the Kern County Fire Department, a fire that began in a mobile home spread to adjacent trees and buildings causing extensive damage.

KCFD Public Information Officer Andrew Freeborn reported that the fire began at around noon on Thursday in the area of McCord Avenue and Roberts Lane. The fires were quickly extinguished by both the KCFD and Bakersfield Fire Department.

There were no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
