Mom's Donuts and Chinese Food has been closed by the Department of Public Health due to cockroaches and other health code violations.
According to the Department of Public Health report, inspectors saw live cockroaches on a spatula next to the dishwashing station and dead cockroaches underneath the coffee stand in the dining area and underneath a shelf containing sugar and maple syrup. The restaurant did not have a hand-washing station in the food preparation area.
Mom's Donuts and Chinese Food is located on Olive Drive in Northwest Bakersfield.
