BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Monday marks nine years since a party at California State University ended with an 18-year-old dead. To this day no arrest has been made in connection to the killing of Bianca Jackson.

The shooting happened back on October 21, 2010, at a party on campus. Jackson, who was not a student at the university, attended a Halloween party with her friend Victor Donis after being invited by a mutual friend who was a part of the now-defunct CSUB club called Black Young Starz.

Witnesses say fights started breaking out between alleged gang members and eventually gunshots rang out.

Jackson was struck by one of the bullets in a campus parking lot and she died from her wounds the next day.

23ABC spoke to Donis last year and he said that it's never easy around this time, but the community keeping the case alive gives him hope.

CSUB has been working on a memorial bench to honor Jackson. A $5,000 reward is being offered through Kern Secret Witness for information that leads to a resolution in her case. You can contact Secret Witness anonymously at 322 4040.
